Expiration Dates

Screenshot showing the new expiration date field Two of the most important questions every sweeper asks when they first visit a new sweepstakes are:

  1. How often can I enter?
  2. How long do I have to enter?

Since we launched SweepsGoat, we've had categories to indicate how often you can enter a particular sweepstakes. We've also encouraged putting an expiration date in the description. While this method does work, it has its limitations. That's why we've now added an expiration date field to all our sweeps. It makes it easy to scan a list of sweeps and see which ones are expiring soon or have already expired.

Of course, not all sweeps have an expiration date (or if they do, they don't always tell you) so this is an optional field. But, if you can remember to fill it in I think you'll find it very useful for tracking your sweepstakes.

Speaking of tracking -- if you haven't noticed the "Save" link at the bottom of each sweepstakes, I recommend you try it out. This will add the sweepstakes to your personal saved list (which is found in your profile) so you can keep track of your favorite sweeps right here on SweepsGoat. We have some ideas for making that page even more useful, so be watching for announcements about that soon.

Please try out the new features and let us know what you think. If you have a problem using the site or an idea for a new feature, we want to hear about it.

Good luck!
